Caterina Chisesi has spent all her life on the stage as a professional dancer. In 2007 she opened the Marbella Academy Dance School, where she is the principal. Born and raised in Zurich, Caterina started dancing ballet at age four and at just ten years old she entered the Opera House at the Russian Academy.

At 17 she went to Rome where she danced in the TV show Rafaella Carra.  From there she went to the Opera House of Rome where she performed for ten years as a classical ballerina. In 1992 she returned to Switzerland and then took a part in the musical ‘Cats’.  Following on from this performance Caterina began her career as a teacher at a vocational school for dancers in Switzerland.

Caterina has many students taking classes in not just ballet but also other genres such as hip-hop, funk, jazz, zumba, salsa, yoga and more. The Marbella Dance School has students of all ages-the youngest is just three and is taking their pre-ballet classes today!

The school always performs a spectacular end of year show at the prestigious Marbella Theatre demonstrating the talent and hard work that the students and teachers invest all year.
